About Me

I chose a career in medicine due to my general interest in science. I excelled in science and math in high school and college, thus medicine was a natural career path for me.

I chose urology as a specialty due to a very influential mentor I had in medical school. It was through this individual’s passion for urology, as well as his enthusiasm and drive, that I was motivated and excited to go into urology.

I enjoy seeing all my patients, including those for the first time. New patients sometimes seek me out or are referred by another doctor or a patient of mine. I like to ensure these patients know they are special and, of course, I smile, listen to their history and situation, all while remaining positive, even if the situation is challenging.

I often see my patients for years and I love to add humor to my patient’s visit. This is, of course, after getting to know my patients. Humor can be very healing.

Achieving great outcomes and practicing good medicine is extremely important to me. I was fortunate to have great education and training. However, I’ve learned it is important to be humble, efficient and diligent. This produces great results for my patients.

I love to read and learn more about urology every day, whether it’s journals, podcasts, AMA updates or articles on the internet, I’m always learning. I enjoy working closely with referring providers and helping the people of our region.
