Experience the Blessing Difference: Adult Inpatient
Blessing coordinates with area healthcare providers, law enforcement and families on referrals for adult inpatient care. We work to assess you, stabilize your health and create a treatment plan to help you through whatever situation you are dealing with.
When you come to us for behavioral healthcare, you have access to:
-
Two distinct levels of care: Adults come to the Behavioral Center with a variety of mental health challenges, and some are more acute than others. The average length of stay in the adult unit is 5 to 7 days, and we admit adults in two separate units:
-
Adult psychiatric: In this 16-bed secure psychiatric unit, we treat adults with chronic mental illness who may be in crisis and need to be stabilized.
-
Behavioral medicine: In this 10-bed open unit, we treat adults for chemical dependency, depression, anxiety, grief and other psychological issues.
-
-
Top-notch facilities: Both adult units are housed in Blessing’s Moorman Pavilion, completed in 2015. We take privacy and safety very seriously, and both units are highly secure. The units offer many amenities, including:
-
Private and semi-private rooms
-
Private bathrooms
-
Multiple activity rooms
-
Indoor and Outdoor recreation space
-
-
Caring staff of psychiatrists and therapists: Our 4 board-certified adult psychiatrists and 7 full-time therapists are ready to help you 24/7. You may also meet with one of our nurses or psychiatric techs who facilitate groups, depending on the type of services you may need. Learn more about our psychiatric staff.
-
Many types of therapy: People recover in different ways, which is why we offer a variety of therapies. Adults meet one-on-one with psychiatrists or therapists. We also offer several group programs, from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and pharmacist-led groups to support groups focused on specific issues, like grief and other disorders.
-
Discharge planning: Our therapists and discharge planners are deeply involved in coordinating your discharge. We want to make sure that you are connected to the resources you need for success and that you have the appropriate support and follow-up care appointments scheduled.
