Sarah Campbell, Nurse Manager of 5North, received a Who’s Your Angel nomination from Megan Pike, former Blessing Chaplain. The Blessing Foundation presented the Who’s Your Angel certificate and angel wing pin award to Sarah on October 4.
Megan stated, “I first met Sarah when she was house supervisor and was in awe of her clinical expertise, rapport with staff, and thoughtful presence with family and patients in crisis. I have had the privilege of seeing her take on new responsibilities and welcome me in as a part of her caring team providing support to staff grieving so many losses from the COVID-19 pandemic. Sarah has not only been an angel to me as a colleague, yet to so many other staff, patients, and visitors. Sarah's dedication to nursing and holistic care to patients is what makes her an angel to me and so many others. Thank you, Sarah. You are seen, loved, and appreciated for your commitment to excellent health care. You are more than enough!”
The “Who’s Your Angel” program is an opportunity for patients and their families to express their appreciation to anyone in the Health System who had a positive influence in their healthcare experience. When the donor makes a financial gift of any size in the name of the employee and writes up a story sharing the experience, the Foundation deposits the gift to the patient care area or restricted fund that most closely matches the employee(s) being honored or the reason for the patient’s time with the Health System. This donation was deposited to the Nurse Education Fund. One hundred percent of Foundation gifts are designated to caring for patients in need.
Any staff member can be nominated for a Who’s Your Angel award, and nomination forms can be found in over 35 different departments within the Health System, from Palmyra to Pittsfield, to Golden and more!
