About Me
I chose a career in healthcare after having a personal scare with cancer. I had a swollen area I was concerned about and after a biopsy confirmed it wasn’t cancer, I was motivated to get into healthcare. Also my experience motivated my mother to have a lump examined which turned out to be breast cancer; however, due to her early action she is recovered and cancer free.
Being a former ICU RN, I’m driven and passionate about critical care. I wanted to continue with my nursing roots and became a Nurse Practitioner for this reason.
I chose to be part of the critical care/ICU team because of my background and familiarity of this area; I feel this enables me to give the best care I can.
I enjoy helping patients and their families through what can be very difficult times. This would not be possible without the tremendous team that has been assembled in the critical care/ICU area. My role working with physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses ensures complete continuity of care for our patients.
