About Me
Allison’s career has taken her exactly where she wants to be – home.
“I am driven and want to be successful in my career. But I am also very family oriented. I want both in my life.”
Born and raised in Hannibal, Allison met her husband-to-be – a Monroe City native - when they were students in Columbia, MO. After graduation they returned to northeast Missouri to be near both of their families to start their lives together.
Allison chose nursing because it combines her love for learning, her compassion and her desire to help others, through a career that makes an impact.
Allison says practicing in her home region increases the chances she already has a connection of some sort with a patient before she even meets them.
“Mutual connections make for good ice breakers. They open a conversation that makes a patient feel more comfortable and begins building a trusting relationship, even before I address their concern.”
“A patient’s focus is my priority and each individual has a different story. It’s important to know that story to better understand their focus,” she concluded.
