A newcomer to the Tri-State area called the Blessing Resource Center to find a primary care provider that was in their insurance network.
Center representative Ashley McChristy assured the individual that Blessing accepted their insurance.
Not good enough.
“The person still seemed concerned,” Ashley stated. “I sent them a list of providers and their information via email, so the individual could compare the list to the information from their insurance company.”
In the email, Ashley suggested the person call back when they felt comfortable with the situation.
“Within 20 minutes of sending the email, the person called back, ready to schedule an appointment,” Ashely continued. “They were happy to have connected with the Blessing Resource Center, saying we took the time to listen and provide the resources for them to make a decision.”
“They were impressed Quincy had a facility like the Blessing Resource Center,” Ashley concluded.
