Sarah Buck, BSN, RN, nurse educator, Organizational Development, Blessing Hospital, recently earned Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) status from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing.

Certification requires passing a written examination and completing 100 contact hours of continuing education every four years to maintain certification. Nursing certification is voluntary. It validates nurses’ expert knowledge and skills. Buck is also a certified Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS).

She is a Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences graduate and member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.  A seven-year member of the Blessing Hospital staff, Buck provided care in the Emergency Center for six years before joining the Organizational Development nurse educator team.
