People interested in learning more about a career in healthcare are invited to the Blessing Hospital Auditorium on Friday, January 26, for a Career and Support Fair from 10:45 am until Noon. The event is free. No registration is required.

The Career and Support Fair will feature information on direct patient care employment opportunities at Blessing including CNA positions, patient transporters, psych and surgical techs, and phlebotomists.

The event begins with registration followed by two short sessions on the benefits of working at Blessing Health and on the Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program through which qualified applicants are paid while they take classes at Blessing that prepare them for the state certification test. After passing the state CNA exam, the employee begins work on a Blessing bedside care team.

From 11:15 to Noon a Career and Support Fair will feature educational programs that can upskill job seekers, and representatives of local agencies that provide personal and job support. Organizations and agencies attending the career and support fair include Impact Global, Bella Ease, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, Two Rivers, John Wood Community College, Grand Canyon University online and Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

The Blessing Auditorium is inside the main entrance to the hospital at 11th and Spring Streets in Quincy.
