Hannah Allen and Kim Polley, MRI Technologists, Blessing Health Hannibal Imaging, received a Who’s Your Angel nomination from a patient’s mother, Amy St. Clair. The Foundation Office presented the Who’s Your Angel award on January 29.

Amy stated, “My 7-year-old daughter, Addisyn, needed an MRI of her ankle due to persistent pain after an injury. She has anxiety and gets very upset in any medical setting. I was worried if she would even be able to complete the test. Kim and Hannah, MRI Technologists at Blessing Health Hannibal, did an excellent job working with my daughter! They explained things in simple terms, giving her just enough information but not too much, allowed her to make choices such as the type of music she wanted (she chose Taylor Swift!), and talked with her throughout the test. They made what could have been a scary situation, so easy and comfortable. Addisyn will tell you it was easy-peasy and she listened to eight Taylor Swift songs! Thanks, so much Kim and Hannah.”  

The “Who’s Your Angel” program is an opportunity for patients and their families to express their appreciation to anyone in the Health System who had a positive influence in their healthcare experience. When the donor makes a financial gift of any size in the name of the employee and writes up a story sharing the experience, the Foundation deposits the gift to the patient care area or restricted fund that most closely matches the employee(s) being honored or the reason for the patient’s time with the Health System. This donation was deposited to the Caring Club Fund. One hundred percent of Foundation gifts are designated to caring for patients in need.  

Any staff member can be nominated for a Who’s Your Angel award, and nomination forms can be found in a surplus of Health System departments from Palmyra to Hannibal, Pittsfield, to Golden and more!
