About Me

Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Kim knew medicine and particularly emergency medicine, were his future.

“I enjoyed the sciences and helping people. I decided to go to medical school and found that emergency medicine was my favorite because I could help people in their most dire situation, with their most acute need.”

Before medicine, Dr. Kim was a Boy Scout, obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout and receiving the Order of the Arrow for Distinguished Leadership.  The experiences serve him well to this day.

“The things you learn in scouting are fundamental to treating the environment and people well.”

Dr. Kim hopes patients and families find him to be a thoughtful person.

“Being thoughtful allows a doctor to care for patients in ways that reach beyond the science to the art of medicine.”

When not treating patients in the Blessing Emergency Center, you may find Dr. Kim on the golf course or in the kitchen cooking.

“If you love to eat you have to cook well, right?”
