About Me

A Quincy native, Shana started her nursing career by following in her grandmother and mother’s footsteps by becoming a certified nursing assistant.

“My CNA instructor said the best nurses start from the ground up. That stuck with me because I knew I wanted to go farther in my nursing career.”

As an LPN, RN and now an MSN nurse practitioner, Shana has experience caring for a wide range of patients - from nursing home residents, to those with substance use issues and those suffering orthopedic traumas. What those patients have in common is that they have told Shana they could tell she cares.

“I like to smile. I like to laugh. I have a big, kind, caring heart and I do care. I have also been told that I’m tenacious. When I want something, I go after it. That’s true in my nursing career. When I see a patient and their diagnosis is not clear immediately, I keep going until I figure it out.”

“Sometimes people need a cheerleader. I want people I am around to feel good and be well.”
