Cindy Haxel, secretary, Denman Corporate Services, received the ICARE Award for Compassion during a surprise presentation on Monday, February 3.Cindy Haxel Denman Services

In addition to highlighting the ways Cindy shows compassion on the job, the staff who nominated her also explained the many ways she demonstrates her exceptional compassion within the community. The nomination read:

“Cindy supports Six String Heroes, a nonprofit which provides guitar lessons and materials for military veterans to help them cope with post-traumatic stress disorder and other disabilities.

She advocates for the We Back the Blue campaign, founded in 2015, which honors and rallies public support for local law enforcement. She was also an organizer of the Red, White and Back the Blue Festival which shows support for all emergency services personnel and provides public education through a “thank you” event each year.

Using her Bay City Foundation, Cindy supports many causes to improve the lives of those within our community. She physically helps the Quincy Police Department with its annual food distribution day and shows additional compassion to our local police force by periodically dropping off goodie bags.”

Blessing Health employees nominate their peers for an ICARE award based on their demonstration of any one – or all – of the Blessing Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
