Matthew Sly’s willingness to roll up his sleeves when the job calls for it earned this Centralized Staffing member Blessing Health System’s 87th Honey Bee Award. The award recognizes service provided by support staff that contributes to an exceptional patient experience and enhances the work environment.
The nomination submitted on Matthew’s behalf read: “Matt is always willing to take the extra time and effort to guarantee his patients are comfortable and well cared for. His dedication to his job is evident.
Recently Matt was transporting a patient to my department and found me in a particularly “messy” situation. We had just finished a trauma, and I was cleaning up afterwards. Matt jumped right in, without being asked, to help me clean the scanner so his patient's care wouldn't be delayed. Matt has shown time and time again his willingness to go above and beyond his assigned duties to help his patients and coworkers.
I appreciate Matt's positive approach to his work and his cheerful attitude, even when the situation gets tense. He exemplifies a "team player" and I commend him for his dedication to our patients, our staff, and our community”
