Originally from St. Louis, Lisa Herzing earned her degree from Maryville University and has built her career around delivering fast, effective, and compassionate care to patients when they need it most.

Growing up, Lisa’s parents owned a nursing home that cared for elderly individuals experiencing homelessness. She spent much of her childhood helping with meals, cleaning, entertainment, and hands-on support. That early exposure to caregiving shaped her passion for healthcare and instilled the values that guide her practice today.

Lisa is especially drawn to the pace and problem‑solving nature of urgent care. 

“What’s most meaningful and enjoyable about my work is being able to quickly assess, diagnose, and treat symptoms,” Lisa says. “I particularly enjoy seeing a return patient and their mention of how I was able to help them in the past.”

Outside of work, you’re likely to find her traveling and honing her skills in wildlife photography.
