Katie Elmore, therapist, Integrated Care, Blessing Health System, has earned the status of Perinatal Mental Health-Certified, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
PMH-C status vdalidates Katie’s ability to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health changes during pregnancy, in cases of perinatal loss, and after childbirth. National statistics show that as many as 20% of women in the United States experience mental health challenges during this time in their lives. To earn certification required two years’ experience in the field, completion of advanced training in this specialty, as well as passage of a written examination administered by Postpartum Support International.

Earning Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) status required meeting a series of prerequisites including passage of a written examination administered by the Association of Social Work Boards, and applying for and receiving licensure from the State of Illinois.
Katie also holds the status of Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC).
Blessing’s Integrated Care team serves patients across the health system, working in clinics to provide crisis response, therapy services, as well as behavioral health assessment and consultation collaborating with health care teams to meet the mental health needs of our patients. Team members are also embedded within the Bariatric Institute, Cancer Center, Family Medicine and OB/GYN offices.
Katie is going into her second year with Blessing Health System. She previously served patients as a member of the Mark Twain Behavioral Health staff. Katie earned her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work degrees from Bresica University and is affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers, Postpartum Support International, and the Illinois Credentialing Board for Drug and Alcohol Professionals.
