Diane Bolen, Respiratory Therapy Assistant, Denman Medical received a Who’s Your Angel nomination from Carol Hulett. The Foundation Office presented the Who’s Your Angel award on April 29.
Carol stated, “My previous week was very stressful. There was a medication mix-up, it was Senior Prom weekend for my only granddaughter and then there was confusion on my cpap mask. My current mask was discontinued with no notice. A new mask was in the paper bag and it stressed me out, because I did not know how to use it or fit it. Diane was patient, kind and listened to my venting woes! She explained, fitted and showed me how to adjust and release my new mask! It made me less stressed and happy! God bless her!”
The “Who’s Your Angel” program is an opportunity for patients and their families to express their appreciation to anyone in the Health System who had a positive influence in their healthcare experience. When the donor makes a financial gift in the name of the employee and writes up a story sharing the experience, the Foundation deposits the gift to the patient care area or restricted fund that most closely matches the employee(s) being honored or the reason for the patient’s time with the Health System. This donation was deposited to the Respiratory Services Fund. One hundred percent of Foundation gifts are designated to caring for patients in need.
Any staff member can be nominated for a Who’s Your Angel award. Nomination forms can be found in various Health System departments and is always available at blessinghealth.org/angel.
