Donna Lewis, RN, Blessing Hospice, retires on May 11, 2018, after 16-and-a-half years of service, all with Blessing Hospice.
Lewis was the first Licensed Practical Nurse to be hired by Blessing Hospice. While working, she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from John Wood Community College and became a Registered Nurse. Lewis is a graduate of Quincy Senior High School.
Blessing Hospice provides end-of-life care to terminally ill patients and support services to the patients and their loved ones.
Patty Loeffler, RN, MS, Administrative Director, Educational Services, Blessing Health System, retires May 9, 2018, after 38 years of service.
Loeffler began her career as a staff nurse on a medical/surgical unit and primary nurse for behavioral medicine. She was then promoted to the Educational Services department where she held the positions of instructor, supervisor, director and administrative director during her tenure. In addition to the Educational Services Department, Loeffler played a key leadership role in the following departments and services during her Blessing career: EMS department, Community Outreach Clinic, Fitness Center, Community Health Initiative and Access Health Adams County. She also was a leader of Blessing Affiliates when it was an active entity of Blessing Health System.
Loeffler holds a Master of Science degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Hannibal LaGrange College and a diploma in nursing from the Blessing Hospital School of Nursing.
Professionally, she is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Organization of Nurse Executive, American Holistic Nursing Association and the Pi Pi Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Her community involvement includes being a sustaining member of the Quincy Service League and a YMCA Women of Achievement recipient.
