Joni Smith, RN, MSN, MBA, has become a board-certified registered nurse (RN-BC), by passing the national Nursing Professional Development Certification examination of the American Nursing Credentialing Center.
Among the qualifications to take the certification examination are having a minimum of 4,000 hours of clinical practice in nursing professional development within the last five years and having completed 30 hours of continuing education in nursing professional development within the last three years.
Smith is a 8-year member of the Blessing Hospital nursing staff who has worked in Surgical Services and is now an instructor in the Educational Services department. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and her Master of Business Administration degree from Culver-Stockton College.
