About Me

As a nurse I had extensive experience in wound and ostomy care; to me, education is key to a patient's (and their family's) ability to progress through a diagnosis and treatment. As a former teacher, I have been able to combine educating patients as well as caring for them during screenings, treatments, recovery as well as preventative care.

The most rewarding aspect of caring for people is the ability to provide excellent and quality care that not only meets their physical needs but their emotional needs as well.

When I meet a patient and their family, I discover what is going on with not only their condition but who they and their family are. This helps build trust and intimately improves their care. With respect to their treatment plan, I will discover is best for their condition but also what is best for them as a person. Through this process we create the best plan for the patient.
