Tonya Aeschliman, Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist, Respiratory Services Department, Blessing Hospital, has earned national board registered EEG technologist status.
EEG technologists are trained medical professional who, under the supervision of doctors, use specialized equipment called electroencephalographs. The test they administer, an electroencephalogram, measures and records the electrical activity of brain waves via electrodes secured to the patient's scalp to detect brain disorders or damage.
Aeschliman completed the Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program of Pamlico College, Grantsboro, North Carolina, met the requirements of ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation and successfully passed the organization’s national registry examination.
A 21-year member of the Blessing Hospital staff, Aeschliman worked in Educational Services, Radiology and Centralized Scheduling before joining the Respiratory Services Department of Blessing Hospital.
A resident of Taylor, MO, she is a member of the Palmyra Booster Club and a graduate of Palmyra High School.
