About Me

“I treat each patient with respect and work with my patients and their families to better understand cognitive functioning and how to maximize their quality of life and independence.”

My passion for neuropsychology stems from my belief that our brain houses those traits that make each of us unique. How we think and feel directly impacts how we function on a daily basis. Neuropsychology is the field that evaluates these brain behavior relationships, and, at its core, the field understands how critical each ability and trait can be to quality of life. From a child who struggles with learning, to a young adult with emotional difficulties, to a senior adult with declines in memory, these experiences have a dramatic impact on the lives of those individuals as well as those around them. It is this focus that drew me to neuropsychology in the first place.

My approach to care and assessment is to be an ally for my patients. I want my patients to know I will work diligently to address any concerns or worries they have. To fully appreciate one’s concerns, I believe you must look at all factors from multiple angles. The end result is assessment and care that focuses on the individual and their life. Together, with patients and their family, I know we will not only gain a better understanding of the cause of their concerns and difficulties, but also develop the best plan of care for them. In some instances, this can be an ongoing process in which I will be there with my patients every step of the way. Ultimately, I believe in a process where the patient and myself work together to accomplish a desired goal.
