Jeanette White, RN, MSN, Clinical Manager, Blessing Home Care, retired on December 15, 2017, after 40 years of service.
White worked at St. Mary Hospital in Quincy from 1971-1993, where she provided care on the medical-surgical unit, pediatrics and was head nurse of the Intensive Care/Intermediate Care unit. White also received the St. Mary Employee of the Year Award in 1987.
Joining Blessing in 1993, White was a patient care supervisor on the orthopedic/neurologic unit until 2000 when she transferred to Blessing Home Care. She was a Home Care staff nurse until 2011 when she became Clinical Manager.
After earning a diploma from the Barnes Hospital School of Nursing, White earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing/ Culver-Stockton College where she graduated Cum Laude. She was also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
A member of the Sigma Theta Tau Internal Honor Society of Nursing and a charter member of the Pi Pi Chapter, White received the Society’s Helen Henry Excellence of Care Award in 2011.
A resident of Liberty, IL, White has been married to her husband Mike for 46 years. They have three sons and five grandchildren. She is an active and lifelong member of the Beverly United Methodist Church.
