During these unprecedented times for our community and our country, many of our neighbors and friends are experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19. In response to these hardships, the Blessing Foundation has set up the Community Spirit Fund to help members of our community and Blessing patients with urgent financial needs brought on by the Coronavirus.
Through the Community Spirit Fund, the Blessing Foundation will assist financially struggling individuals who are in medical necessity and financial disability when other community resources are exhausted.
The fund will assist with basic necessities, including gasoline, medication, rent, mortgage, lodging, utilities, household bills, food, meals, and clothing - 100% of donations to the Community Spirit Fund will be used to meet those needs.
“We’ve seen so many individuals step up and do their part to support our community during this challenging time – from sewing masks to donating much needed supplies to support our frontline workers. But we know there are also so many in our community who are facing financial difficulties because of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The Community Spirit Fund is one way to help those in need. This fund will help ensure that our neighbors, friends, and family members don’t go without the basics during these extraordinary and challenging times,” said Ann Awerkamp Dickson, Administrative Director of the Blessing Foundation.
