About Me
My interest in Emergency Medicine began through my career as a nurse. Prior to returning to school to obtain my Family Nurse Practitioner degree, I spent time in a variety of specialties including adult, pediatric and neonatal care. Enjoying each of these, I transitioned to the emergency department where I could provide care to all ages with a variety of ailments. While completing clinical rotations in the emergency department during my schooling, I knew it was the setting for which I wanted to work after completing my nurse practitioner schooling. I enjoy the variety and fast pace environment that the emergency department has to offer. Allowing my patients to feel heard is an important driving factor in the way I practice; I hope to be able to have a small impact on what may be one of their worst days.
