About Me
Ever since high school, I’ve always known I wanted to be in the mental health field. I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in psychology and immediately realized nursing was going to be my next big step. I went to Barnes Jewish College of Nursing with a major focus on psychology and upon graduating began working in the Emergency Department at Blessing Hospital.
Coming back to Quincy was always my goal. Growing up in this city, I have seen and felt the sense of fellowship and kindness in the community and knew I wanted to be a contributing member.
After working in the Emergency Department for 4 years, I have grown and further recognized my passion for psychiatry and now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner I feel I have reached my final destination. I want my patients to know I am genuinely interested in their health and well-being. In my practice I strive to create an open style of communication in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.
I look forward to building authentic and trusting relationships with my patients. I work hard to create a tailored treatment plan, using an integrative and evidence-based approach that can be easily incorporated into their daily lives. I value my patient’s input and encourage them to play a significant role in building their treatment plan.
