Megan Pike, Chaplain, Blessing Hospital, became the hospital’s 28th Honey Bee Award winner during a presentation on February 18.

The Blessing Hospital Honey Bee award recognizes the remarkable patient experience delivered by support staff employees.

Megan was nominated by a patient’s family member for providing much needed support and prayer during a time of need. The family member is also a Blessing employee. The nomination read, in part, “On Friday, November 20, 2020 my grandpa had fought his hardest to beat COVID but could not fight any longer.  My Grandma had reached out to Blessing to ask the Chaplain to come see me.   Megan was there for not just me, but for my family also.   She took the time to talk to me and was there for my mom and aunt also.   She met all of us at the main lobby and walked us up to the ICU.  I asked her if she would pray with us and she spoke the most beautiful prayer.  She was there for our family and that made us all feel so blessed to have met someone like Megan. She even reached out to me on Voalte and told me how she was thinking about me and my family.  I feel like Megan deserves so much more than this award but she deserves to know how much she impacted our family and our hearts in such an amazing way.  Thank you Megan!”
