Kathy Boll, certified pharmacy technician, Be Well At Work Employer Clinic, Blessing Health System, has earned Advanced Certified status (CPhT-Adv) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. She is a 27-year member of the health system.
Boll successfully completed the following programs to earn Advanced Certified status: Medication reconciliation, product verification, controlled substances and immunizations. The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board began offering Advanced Certified status for certified pharmacy technicians in 2020, making Boll among the first to earn the recognition.
The mission of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is to advance medication safety by credentialing technicians who are qualified to support pharmacists and patient care teams in all practice settings. Boll earned initial certification in 1996, making her one of the first Blessing Hospital pharmacy technicians to earn the status.
She is a graduate of Quincy University and Quincy Notre Dame High School and a member of the National Pharmacy Technician Association and National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
