About Me
The Doctor of Nursing Practice degree enables me to translate best evidence medicine into practice for the improvement of our patient outcomes. Along with our colleagues in the other disciplines, we work as a team to improve patient care and to guide patients through this critical, and often scary time in their lives. One of my roles is to serve as a familiar face our patients and families see every day while in the hospital, and hopefully I then can better serve as a familiar voice if they have questions and concerns once they get home.
I spend time with patients and their families to educate, answer questions, and discuss their care so they better understand their health, available treatment options, and feel prepared to manage their health when they go home. I am fortunate to have advanced my career in a field that I truly enjoy.
