About Me
Growing up in a middle-class family with a variety of challenges and my father’s death due to cancer at a young age were driving factors in taking me to the field of medicine and to choose medical oncology as my long-term career.
Advances in the last 30 years in this dynamic field, constant search for a cure, emergence of newer treatment modalities that improve the quality of life for cancer patients are a few aspects that make this evolving field of medicine fascinating.
The most gratifying aspect for me is to be a part of this journey for my patients and their families, taking them through the ups and downs of their illness, keeping them motivated to fight this fight and not letting their hopes die out.
I have been in practice for a little over 25 years and feel confident in providing my patients quality of care. I listen to their problems, take every step possible to resolve those issues and even facilitate their care to other care centers, if needed.
I would like to assure my patients and their families, that even after exhausting all available treatment options, my team and I are always there to facilitate comfort care until the end and not leave them alone in this crucial phase of their lives.
