About Me

Providing mental health care is a dream come true for Pike County native Destiny Craven.

“Specialty services, like mental health, are not always offered in small communities. I am glad to be an in-person provider in a specialty area I feel is important for the community as a whole.”

“Every person faces hardships some time, maybe the most difficult thing they have experienced,” she continued. “Navigating these obstacles is key to a healthier future.”

Destiny has provided care as a registered nurse and a certified nursing assistant before that. She understands the importance of including people in their plan of care.

“Listening to stories, finding joys that brought them smiles, and being a safe place for them made my day and their day better.”
She uses these skills in her role as a certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

“I am a resource for prevention, and help people find ways to cope during stressful events so that they can better manage their mental health. I take a medical point of view as well, being mindful of how one’s lifestyle choices of food, supplements, and physical activity impact their mental well-being.”
