About Me
I have always had a desire to care for others which is why I became a nurse. Continuing my education to an advanced degree has allowed me to actively promote preventative health through Medicare Annual Wellness visits and also aid patients during times of illness.
When I see patients acutely or for the yearly Medicare Wellness Visits, I like to learn a little bit about each person. We can have that personalized relationship the next time they come back into the office, even if I am not their primary care provider. I make sure to take my time with each patient to answer all their concerns. I never want to make a patient feel like I am rushing out of the room, or that their time is not valuable. Making a physical connection, whether it be a pat on the hand, back, or a hug is my way of letting my patients know I care for them.
Knowing I have the opportunity of making patients feel even an ounce better during their times of illness or concern makes my job rewarding. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages in family medicine, it makes every single day diverse and interesting.
