About Me

Dr. Sonti says she always knew that medicine, and neurosurgery in particular, would be her future.

“It was a calling for me.”

And you can feel her passion upon meeting her.

“Medicine gives you a chance to directly contribute and impact positively someone’s life, and I have always found the brain and spinal cord fascinating. They are significant to how our body and its systems work.”

Dr. Sonti says her preparation for the complexities of neurosurgery began long before she entered school, thanks to her role models.

“My father taught me stamina and perseverance and my mother taught me patience.”
In addition to her medical and surgical skills, Dr. Sonti says her compassion is key to the care she provides.

“Taking care of each and every patient is a privilege. A patient puts their trust and faith in their doctor. Having that privilege is priceless and comes with great responsibility.”

“I genuinely care for every single person that I meet.”

When not in the examination or operating rooms, you might find Dr. Sonti pursuing her other passions – cooking and travel.

“There is a lot more to life that we learn when we travel.”
