About Me
Lindsay is excited to be back in the Midwest. A Wisconsin native and graduate of the Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, her career took her to Pennsylvania. So, when she became aware of the opportunity to join Blessing’s palliative care team, Lindsay responded.
“I feel palliative care is highly underutilized,” she said. “It is designed to help persons with chronic illnesses live a fulfilling life while optimizing their quality of life. In palliative care, we maximize a person’s potential, despite the chronic illness.”
“My goal is to provide more support for people who would qualify for palliative care so that their quality of life is enhanced.”
Calling herself a natural-born helper, Lindsay says she calls on personal experience when caring for patients.
“I have learned ways to work with patients and their families, as well as what not to do. My goal is to ensure that my patients and their families feel heard, valued and supported. It is crucial to have patients and their families vested in and actively involved with their treatment plan for optimal success.”
When not working with her patients, you might find Lindsay, her husband and daughters and son enjoying “anything outdoors.”
