About Me

Dr. Jones did not invent the concept of laughter being the best medicine, but he supports the idea. “I like to incorporate humor into what I do. Patients seem to appreciate it. It puts them more at ease.” Dr. Jones’s medical background is no laughing matter. He is a highly-skilled physician, educated and trained during more than 20 years in the military. Dr. Jones held prestigious positions before coming to Blessing, including Seventh Medical Command Consultant for Otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat medicine) in Europe. “I enjoyed my military career.”

Dr. Jones also enjoys getting to know his patients. That’s why he does not bring a computer into the exam room with him. He never has. It gets in the way of the doctor-patient relationship. “I look at their chart before I go into the exam room. Then, I go in and talk to the patient. I spend time with them. It helps me know them. Patients love it. I like it. It’s a win-win.” By the way, if Dr. Jones tells you a fish story during your exam, it’s no joke. This man is a serious fly-fisherman. “Fishing was something I did with my dad since I could walk.”
