About Me

I chose to go into medicine because it was a natural fit for me. I have always enjoyed caring for and helping others and this profession allows me to do that everyday. That is also the most rewarding thing. People trust me to care for them and allow me to care for them when they are at their most vulnerable - that is very humbling to me.

One of my trainers in residency taught me to treat my patients as if they were my parents - this is what I strive for with every patient. I believe that people can readily pick up on that compassion, and when they do, when they know I really do care, when they realize that we will work through whatever it is together, you see a sense of relief. It is like a weight is being lifted off of them. That is what I strive for and that is the start of providing exceptional care.
