About Me

Children always seem so innocent, vulnerable, curious and full of wonder. As a parent myself, caring for children comes naturally and I approach my patients with the same care and concern I would want for my own children. While I love working with children, practicing pediatrics requires more than just a love for kids. Caring for a pediatric population involves a different spectrum of diseases that are equally as complex as those of adults. Pediatrics involves a real need to always address the social/familial aspects of illness.

Working with families from the birth through the high school years, I have the opportunity to help them make better choices that will impact their health for life. Pediatrics is a discipline where I am able to intervene and change behavior patterns and health outcomes in a very preventative and proactive way. Improving the health status for the next generation is very rewarding.
