About Me

The well-coordinated complexity of the body's endocrine system with its potential hormonal disruptions and normal changes throughout the lifespan has long fascinated Dr. Dempsey.

“Over the past 30 years of clinical practice, I have come to appreciate the need for individualized care of each patient. We all have unique physiology and genetics, as well as goals and preferences.

I also feel strongly about patient education and shared decision-making regarding treatment options.”

People tell Dr. Dempsey that her strongest characteristic as a physician is her ability to listen carefully to each patient's concerns and a meticulous perseverance until a problem is either solved or managed to the best of her ability.

“Regardless of severity, each patient's concern becomes my concern to be treated with competence, compassion and confidentiality.”

She credits her mother as her role model.

"The daily sacrifices and acts of love she demonstrated to all those who came into her life instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and confidence and inspired me to reflect those same qualities and make a positive impact on the world."

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Dempsey keeps up with her 10 adult children and growing number of grandchildren.  She also enjoys gardening and long walks with her husband of 34 years and aging rescue dog.
