All cancer survivors and a guest are invited to indulge and engage at “Evolve”, a free event designed especially for them and hosted by the Blessing Cancer Center team.

Evolve takes place on Saturday, September 28, between the hours of 1 and 4 pm at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences, 3609 N. Marx Drive in Quincy, across from the post office on 36th Street.

Evolve will feature chair massages and manicures, “man cave” activities, flower essences and crafts, food demonstrations, snacks and treats, door prizes and more.

“Evolve is an opportunity for any cancer survivor – no matter where they receive their care – to come and have a few hours of fun and relaxation at no cost to them. Oftentimes, medical expenses can limit those types of activities for cancer survivors,” said Mary Ripper, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C, outpatient clinical therapist, Blessing Health, and Evolve leader.

“Those attending will get some well-deserved pampering with a manicure, paraffin dip or chair massage, try some new activities, enjoy snacks, engage with others and hopefully relax and smile for a few hours.”

There is no cost to attend Evolve and registration is not required. However, those who go online to www.blessinghealth.org/evolve and confirm they will attend will be entered to win a prize.
