Nathan Shake, psychiatric tech, Adult Psychiatric Services, earned Blessing Hospital’s 62nd Honey Bee award during a surprise presentation on November 20, 2023. The Blessing Hospital Honey Bee award recognizes the exceptional service provided by support staff.
Nathan was nominated by a former coworker to whom he was providing care at the time. The nomination read, in part: “Nathan has always checked up on how I am doing, way before I was a patient. Now, as a patient, he continued to treat me with such respect.”
The nomination concluded, “I will never forget the time all of day shift asked how I was doing and I said bad. Nathan stayed 20 minutes after shift to listen to me and offer to help. What a staff member of Blessing! I aspire to be like him.”
