The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) has recognized Blessing Health System’s workplace wellness programming with a Well Workplace bronze award. For 2021, 18 companies earned WELCOA Well Workplace awards. Blessing was the only employer in Illinois to receive the honor.
With a 30 year history and more than 4,000 corporate members, WELCOA helps businesses improve employee well-being and create healthier organizational cultures.
To earn Well Workplace recognition, Blessing submitted an application documenting its level of compliance with WELCOA’s seven benchmarks for a results-oriented workplace wellness program.
For their physical health, Blessing offers employees access to wellness centers, fitness challenges and healthy food choices in its cafeterias. Among its initiatives for quality of life in the workplace, Blessing offers employees regular engagement surveys to identify opportunities for work environment improvements, and market-based benefits plans and compensation.
