Allison Schrand, patient access educator, Blessing Hospital, has met the requirements and passed the certification examination of the National Association of Healthcare Access Management to earn the status of Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
A CHAA has proven knowledge and skills in the field of patient access services, involving tasks that include handling patient financial information, verifying insurance, patient registration and scheduling appointments.
The National Association of Healthcare Access Management establishes best practices and subject matter expertise; provides networking, education, and certification opportunities that enable its members to influence and promote high quality delivery of patient access services.
A graduate of John Wood Community College, Schrand is a five-year member of the Blessing Hospital staff.
