Cherie Frericks, RN, BSN, Inpatient Clinical Care Coordinator/Case Manager, Blessing Hospital, has earned Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN) status through the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.
Certification is a voluntary process that requires meeting practice and educational prerequisites and passing an examination. Attaining CRRN certification validates professional standing as an experienced rehabilitation nurse with a documented level of knowledge in this specialized area of practice. Rehabilitation nursing practice includes care management and treatment of conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, aging issues, Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes, co-morbidities, cardiovascular illness, arthritis and spinal cord injury.
Frericks earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Associates Degree in Nursing from John Wood Community College.
A 12-year member of the Blessing staff, Frericks worked in the Intensive Care Unit and Cardiovascular Unit as well as inpatient Rehabilitation. Prior to Blessing she worked at Rush Hospital in Chicago and Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Frericks is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
