Tara Althoff, behavioral health consultant, Care Coordination, became the hospital’s 29th Honey Bee Award winner during a presentation on March 16.
The Blessing Hospital Honey Bee award recognizes the remarkable patient experience delivered by support staff employees.
Tara earned the award based on the nomination of a patient who was experiencing uncontrolled anxiety. The nomination read in part, “I was at my appointment with Dr. Tchapnda when Tara came in to talk about setting up an appointment with psychiatry and with a counselor. She was so kind during the entire appointment. She made me feel comfortable to seek care and not feel judged.”
“I've met with mental health providers several times and I am feeling so much more like myself. I credit Tara for making the true human connection and making me feel comfortable enough to seek help. Thank you Tara I am in a better spot now with your help!”
Honey Bee award nomination forms are located on all nursing units and other locations throughout Blessing Hospital.
