Brooklyn Vaughn, certified nursing assistant, 6 South/Women and Children, Blessing Hospital, became the hospital’s 32nd Honey Bee Award winner during a presentation on July 6.

The Blessing Hospital Honey Bee award recognizes the remarkable patient experience delivered by support staff employees.

Brooklyn was nominated by a patient to whom she provided care. The nomination read, in part: “The first night I was admitted I was nervous. Brooklyn poked her head around the corner with a big smile on her face and I knew. She was wearing a mask but her eyes were lit up.”

“Brooklyn is a beautiful person inside and out. She started talking to me like a long lost friend. It was so nice. It calmed my nerves right away. After that day I always looked forward to her little visits,” the patient concluded.

Honey Bee award nomination forms are located on all nursing units and other locations throughout Blessing Hospital.
