Quincy, IL (ADAMS COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT) – On April 29, 2020, the Adams County Health Department announced the first COVID-19 related death of an Adams County resident, a female in her 60s.

“I am so saddened to learn of this situation, and pray for the family and friends who have lost their loved one,” said Public Health Administrator, Jerrod Welch.  “As we face the challenges of COVID-19, our resolve as a community remains strong.  We will work together, as we always do, to persevere.  Each of us can continue to do our part to keep one another safe and healthy, neighbors helping neighbors, friends supporting friends, and families focusing on each and every loved one.”
