A mother nominated Nicole for the care she provided after the woman’s daughter was involved in an electric scooter accident and fractured her skull. The nomination said, in part:
“My daughter and myself were very scared and nervous as we learned she was going to be flown to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Nicole stepped in right away to help my daughter stay calm, explaining it was all going to be okay and that there was nothing to be scared about. She noticed me crying out in the hallway and let me know how everything was going to happen and that she was going to be in the best of hands. The nurse then had to attempt to put an IV in my daughter’s arm. My daughter was a mess and Nicole helped calm her down so the nurse could get her IV in. Nicole was absolutely amazing and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her.”
