Illini Community Hospital has earned the 2020 IMEC Interest in Excellence Recognition award from the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC).
Through use of the national Malcom Baldrige Award standards for quality, the IMEC drives organizational improvement and innovation across the state of Illinois in the areas of leadership; strategy; customer engagement; measurement, analysis, and knowledge management; operations; and workforce, IMEC leads organizations in their mission to improve business results and to create sustainable competitive futures.
The IMEC Interest in Excellence Recognition is presented to those organizations that complete the organizational profile portion of the Baldrige framework, demonstrating an organizational interest in continuous improvement and desire to accelerate change, growth, and improvement throughout the entire organization.
“We are constantly examining our processes to determine what we can improve and how we can deliver the services our patients need at the highest level of quality and efficiency,” said Kathy Hull, Administrator at Illini Community Hospital.
“Developing new or different ways to provide a service is key to keeping healthcare vibrant in rural communities, like the ones we serve,” Hull continued. “We don’t want to just provide a good experience for our patients. We want every encounter to be excellent, because that’s what our community deserves.”
