Deetra Ingram Blessing Hospital

Deetra Ingram’s knowledge, ability to share it with others and willingness to learn more earned her the ICARE Award for accountability during a presentation on February 27.

The nomination of Deetra, medical assistant for Occupational Health, Blessing Health Hannibal, read in part:
“Deetra is the foundation for all things happening in the Occupational Health Department. She knows how everything is supposed to run - contracts, billing and the history of the companies we work with. She is very exacting with all of the forms and processes and guided two different nurses through the orientation process the past year.

The financial/billing processes changed this past year, and she worked diligently to get things fine-tuned and accurate. She's been tenacious at learning and doing these new processes correctly and efficiently.

Then, there are the various processes and forms for a myriad of physicals and screenings. She's well organized and prepared ahead of time for all of the incoming patients and she maintains all of the records for the department.

Deetra is well-liked by her coworkers and the other departments we work closely with. She's friendly and respectful with all of our patients and has had to learn a lot of medical assistant functions this past year. She's always willing to learn something new and is studying to get certified as a Medical Assistant.

In short, Deetra is a wonder, a terrific coworker and an organized and detail-oriented leader in this department.”

Blessing Health System employees nominate coworkers for the ICARE Award based on the nominee’s demonstration of the values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect or excellence (ICARE) – or of all five Blessing values.
