Kourtni Shankland, certified nurse assistant, Gen Med/Hospitalist/ODU, earned Blessing Hospital’s 60th
Honey Bee award during a surprise presentation on October 5, 2023.
The Blessing Hospital Honey Bee award recognizes the exceptional service provided by support staff.
Kourtni was nominated by the daughter of a patient to whom she provided care: “Kourtni was a very good helper when my 93-year-old father was in the hospital. She took the time to get to know him as a person, not just another patient. Kourtni had a really good and friendly approach to him, and would really take an interest in things he was telling her. She made him feel better about having to be in the hospital and took good care of him.”
