The Blessing EMT program prepares a student to function as a medically competent, entry level EMT in the prehospital setting. The course meets all requirements of the United States Department of Transportation EMT curriculum as well as Illinois rules and regulations.

It is offered in conjunction with John Wood Community College and begins in January and August. This one semester course meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for four hours each class. Students can earn 6 credit hours for successful completion of the course and are then qualified to sit for the NREMT Cognitive Exam.
